The Gables Building...

"began as a residence in 1884 by Rev. John Campbell, famed for his weddings, and completed after 1900. This elegant Queen Anne style building was later converted into one of Victoria's first apartment residences. Its spacious rooms, large bay windows and gas fireplaces provided gracious living at a prestigious address for some of Victoria's leading families until its official designation as a Heritage building in 1977." According to the article pinned to the wall.
