The overall look of a non wired bra differs fron a wired in that the bust is not lifted into the same place. Mind you there is still a lot of actual support, providing of course that you are in the correct size, just not the same front and centered look that many strive for or are used to. Some bodies have a shape that works perfectly with underwired bras and others find the wired uncomfortable no matter how many size combinations or styles they try.

My first suggestion when you find an under wired bra uncomfortable or even painful is to get a proper fitting as the style and size you are in my be the problem instead of the wire. If the bra fits properly one should not really be able to feel the underwire.
