Ohhh! So beautiful. This sheer bra features polka dots and a satin-embroidered rose applique at the top of the cups. Seamed cups with side panels provide support for full busted and full figure women. The plunging front is great for wearing low-cut necklines.

My first real sports bra.

It is only after a year of being involved in roller derby that a sports bra became a priority. I have many comfortable bras and my Triumph/Valisere 767460 from the shape sensation group have been my erzats sports bra. My reasoning was that derby is not like jogging so not actually high impact. Ha! While it may not be the continual up and down motion of jogging it is indeed high impact. Especially when a player is hit hard into me and I fall down. That happened last week and my shoulder is still sore.

The pros of this bra from the perspective of one that fits the 5529 in a 34F:
The fabric is firm which reduces bounce or jiggles. Which is the whole point of a sports bra. The firm fabric will also be longer lasting and keep its shape better. I did not even think of my bra for the whole scrimmage. No pain, itching tag, falling straps or digging bits. I could just focus on skating and watching the players.

The cups are seam free so there are no lines running horizontally, or diagonally, in the bra that conflict with the vertical stripes of my ref shirt. This is purely a vanity point.

The cups are generously shaped which prevents smooshed boobs. I like that the separation prevents skin on skin action and needless sweating. Plus when I put on my tailored blouse after practise everything was in the right place. I may get a few more for everyday wear as no one could tell it was a sports bra.

The band is wide with 4 hooks at the back which is firm and sturdy support. I have compressible flesh so prefer more hooks and wider the band as it is comfortable with less cutting in.

The back is a breathable mesh. As most women wear sports bras while doing actual sports where sweating is a big part having any area where is is breathable is helpful. Derby gear covers a lot and sweating is a big part of the sport. Heck my knees sweat.

The straps are in fairly close to my neck, and are wide, which prevents them from falling off my shoulders easily. There are many photographers at bouts and I would not like to have a picture posted on fb capturing the moment of fishing for a strap. Yes, another vanity point. So far I have only reffed scrimmages but the day will come when I am reffing an actual bout so planning ahead is key.

I have yet to find a con but will add to this post when I do.
